On 08/19/18 morning, The Saigon Times Foundation (STF) in association with Dan On Foods Corporation (Dan On Foods) awarded scholarships to 9 students from the universities in Ho Chi Minh city and Binh Duong province.
At the event, students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Saigon University, Binh Duong University and Hoa Sen University received scholarships of 10-20 million Vietnamese Dong from the program, named as “STF-Dan On Foods Scholarship”
Dan On Foods has been a partner of Sai Gon Times Foundation in the program “STF-Enterprise Long-term Scholarship” from 2007 up to now. Over the past 11 years, 69 students have received scholarships from the program; the graduates have good and stable jobs, 4 of them are now working at Dan On Foods Corporation. The “STF-Enterprise Long-term Scholarship” program, initiated by the Sai Gon Economic Times Fund in 2007, has cooperated with 16 enterprises, providing 1,848 scholarships for over 8 billion students.
Ongkingco Bantiles Farah, Human Resources Director of Dan On Foods, said: “The company would like to support the less privileged students so that they can finish their studies. And at the same time, we want to create a great opportunities to students and to work after graduation at the company. We preferred students from universities who graduated with majors in food, technology industry, information technology, engineering, machine operation, etc. “, said Ongkingco Bantiles Farah.
